This could have been stopped earlier on if people who knew what was going on actually reported it earlier on and didn't worry about the consequences. But people would just turn a blind eye.

Bobcat, obviously people are too busy getting their 2 cents worth in and have just bypassed your comment. It doesn't matter if all the facts are right or wrong. It only matters how the girls are fairing. I am very happy that the girls have a place to feel safe!! Thank you for your caring heart. They will need all the patience and proper love they can get.

Unless her sister was with her 24/7, how would she know what did or did not happen. Maybe the sister is lying to you so that you won't change the way you act towards her. Maybe she just wants to forget it all. Besides its not something you really want to broadcast about your family. Her story must have had some truth in it for 2 different people to be tried and convicted.

This is all a lie her own sister said its not true it's just that baby Raper that's in prison is trying to get a less time

What is really sad about the whole thing is that the family "friend" and the woman are just now, 6 years after the first allegations from this girl and Raymond Knox was convicted, being held responsible. This is not the first time the names were brought to the court's attention. During the investigation in 2006 these names we given to investigators. They failed to do anything about it ... until they finally got a statement from the first abuser. This girl will never be the same and will be scared for the rest of her life. She will never live a "normal" life or have a "normal" relationship with anyone. She deserved better than this from all parties involved...the abusers, the investigators, DSS (who failed to look into the many, many allegations that were brought to their attention over a span of 12 years) and the court system. I personally hope they rot in hell and that somehow the victim might find peace.

In 1995 Raymond Knox was a volunteer firefighter with Ellicott the girl he kidnapped and raped was a cadet with the fire department. If the state would of threw him in prison than he wouldn't of never raped again.

These are not human beings; they are farm worse than any harmful predatory animal; they are monsters who have a sickness and should be put out of their misery. I can't even think of a punishment that is suitable for their warped, disfuntional, sick behavior! This poor girl will need alot of support and caring to help regain her trust; if she ever does.

Well everyone please have some peace knowing that these P.O.S will get what they gave when you are in prison for being a child molester or for committing any crime that has hurt a child, all the inmates know what your charges are and alot of them have nothing to lose and will do to them what they did to that child.. So have a little peace knowing they will suffer...

If our judicial system would of done the right thig to Raymond in 1995 where he kidnapped a girl and raped her he would of never been able to continue doing this to the girl from than till when he got caught. This sickens me. In 1995 he got a 5 year deferred sentence for raping and kidnapping what has this judicial system come to.

Crimes against children - life in prison. Nothing else is deterring these sick predators.

Everyone is talking about laws to be changed and harsher penalties. Does any of our judicial people read the comments that the citizens of Colorado state? Who do we call or write to? I have called and asked our legislators (as I was told to do) just to be told by their offices that they do not get involved in judicial matters. Who then; do we go to to get new laws on the books and harsher penalties. Something needs to be done and we need more people at the Department of Human Services to review reported cases; no matter how small to some; all reports need to be reviewed and check out and people interviewed. It just goes to show that Domestic Violence sooner or later finds its sickness to the children!! Why is it that we have harsher penalties for animal abuse than this state has for DV and sexual offenders?? Makes a person wonder!! One is a bade as the other. If a person abuses their animal that person is more than likely to abuse their spouse and children!!
