A man driving in the wrong direction on a rural highway was killed after colliding with a semi-truck late Saturday night.

The Nissan ran into the right front of the semi, causing both vehicles to go off the side of the road. The semi ended up in a barrow ditch, and the 23-year-old driver sustained only minor injuries.

The Nissan erupted into flames after the crash. The 65-year-old driver, identified as Michael Manley of Eads, Colo. died at the scene.
