A convicted felon landed himself back behind bars after police say they caught him in a stolen car.
Cory Olin Speer, 27, was allegedly parked on the 500 block of West Cucharras Street, near the Sin City Deciples clubhouse, around 3:36 a.m. Sunday when a patrolling officer spotted him and ran a license plate check. The license plate came up as stolen, so officers confronted Speer.
Speer allegedly was possessing a handgun and had several stolen items inside the car with him. Police say the items had been reported stolen the day before.
