A small grass fire on the Air Force Academy has been put out, a spokesman with the Academy confirms to 11 News.
The fire was reported at 12:41 p.m. in an area between Douglass Valley Elementary School and baseball field on the south side of the Academy.
Additional fire units were originally called to the scene, but were called off after Academy firefighters got the blaze under control. The fire burned 50 meters, and did not impact any structures.
Drivers on I-25 reported seeing smoke from the Academy while the fire was burning.
