Victim In Apartment Stabbing Identified As Maintenance Worker

A maintenance worker was found stabbed to death at the Springs apartment complex where he was employed.

Police believe 46-year-old Gregory Martin was stabbed after he interrupted a burglary in progress at the Park Ridge Apartments, which are located on the 2600 block of W. Serendipity Circle near Academy and Maizeland.

Neighbors say they led police to the suspect after he ran away from the scene. Police were able to quickly detain Isaiah Jackson.

The El Paso County Coroner confirmed that Martin's death was a homicide and that stabbing was the cause of death. Jackson has been charged with first-degree murder and first-degree burglary.
