Hundreds of Fort Carson soldiers got to pick out and take home their very own Christmas trees for free!
Fort Carson's Family and Morale Division distributed more than 600 fresh, farm-grown trees.
The event is all a part of the Trees For Troops program something a lot of soldiers say they're grateful for this holiday season.
"I'm very excited. I have four children and we get to have a tree and decorate it and get to have fun making decorations for it," says PFC. Stephanie Monaghan.
Since 2005, the program has delivered more than 50,000 trees to 50 U.S. Military bases and units in Iraq and Afghanistan.
