Decorated Four-Time War Veteran Killed In Afghanistan
A Fort Carson soldier has been killed in Afghanistan. Sgt. 1st Class Jason J. Fabrizi died two days ago.

A decorated Fort Carson soldier has been killed in Afghanistan. Sgt. 1st Class Jason J. Fabrizi, 29, died Tuesday.
Sgt. 1st Class Jason J. Fabrizi was wounded when his mounted patrol was attacked by enemy forces using rocket-propelled grenades and small arms fire on July 14.
This was Fabrizi's fourth deployment. He was serving with the 4th Brigade Combat Team. He served in Iraq in three previous tours from March 2003 to September 2003, August 2004 to July 2005, October 2006 to December 2007.
He was a decorated soldier with more than 22 awards, including the Purple Heart and two Bronze Star Medals. His other medals included:

Fabrizi joined the Army 10 years ago. He's a native of Seffner, Florida.
Fabrizi is the third 4BCT, 4ID soldier to be killed in Afghanistan since May. Spc. Gregory J. Missman, 36, died July 8 of wounds sustained when enemy forces attacked his unit using small arms fire. Army gunner Pvt. Steven Drees, 19, was injured June 24 in an attack that involved small-arms fire and a rocket-propelled grenade launcher. He died four days later.

my younger brother was driving the vehicle in front of him. Im grateful hes ok, but sad to see another one of our soldiers fall. I wish our country would stop caring about what others think and just let our soldiers do there jobs!Glad to see so many here in support of our soldiers, they deserve respect, they are heroes in my book.My thoughts and prayers to jason's family.
Our family would like to sent our prayers for the family of SFC Fabrizi. Our son Will Lazarchick is in the Army and has been servicing in Affghanistan with Jason. May God be with you and help you through this hard time. Our hearts are also breaking that one of our wonderful Soldier has passed on.
