Lt. Dan Choi would be the first New York National Guard member discharged for violating the policy against homosexual conduct.

Absolutely ridiculous!!!!! He should be applauded for serving our country, not discriminated against. So proud to be an american.....NOT!!!!

He violated his contract. Just like any other place of employment, if you violate the contract, you will be terminated. The "don't ask, don't tell" policy is in place for very good reasons. A main reason is safety.
