This week with Assignment Iraq, KKTV spoke with Sgt. Zachary Mott who is currently serving in Iraq with 3BCT, 4ID.

Sgt. Mott is stationed at Camp War Eagle in Baghdad. Mott writes stories and take pictures of soldiers doing their every day jobs.

Mott is on his second deployment to Iraq, the first in 2005. He says he is amazed by the transformation he has seen in Iraq and in particular in Sadr City since his last tour.

Mott says Sadr City used to be a place of violence and he now watches kids walking to school in brand new uniforms with smiles on their faces.

He says it's great to see the transformation.

Mott is due to come for leave soon. He says he is looking forward to seeing his wife and hugging his two boys.
