It was a somber day at the Mountain Post as friends, family and fellow soldiers gathered to remember a fallen comrade.

Major Mark Rosenberg was killed last month in Iraq when the humvee he was traveling in was hit by an IED. He was 32 years old.

Major Rosenberg was assigned to the 3rd Brigade Combat Team.

He leaves behind his wife, Julie and two young sons.
