A memorial service will be held Wednesday for a Fort Carson soldier killed in Iraq.

Maj. Mark Rosenberg of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 32, died in Baghdad in April, when an IED exploded by his vehicle.

The memorial is scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 14, at Fort Carson's Soldiers' Memorial Chapel.

The memorial service is rich in military tradition and honors soldiers
with the traditional roll call, a rifle squad salute and the final
tribute to a fallen soldier with the playing of Taps.
