U.S. and Afghan troops have repelled a pair of attacks by insurgents wearing U.S. Army uniforms and suicide vests.

The pre-dawn assaults targeted NATO bases near the Pakistani border, including one where seven CIA employees died in a suicide attack last year.

NATO and Afghan police say dozens of insurgents stormed Forward Operating Base Salerno and nearby Camp Chapman with mortars, rocket-propelled grenades and automatic weapons.

NATO says 21 attackers were killed and five captured. Three more insurgents, including a commander, were killed in an airstrike as they fled the area.

NATO, which said earlier there were no coalition casualties, now says four U.S. troops were hurt. And the Afghan Defense Ministry says two Afghan soldiers were killed and three wounded.

John, Do you really think that if all enlistments and reenlistments ended that the war would end? If the government wanted a war to continue they would reinstate the draft.

Obama's campaign was based on his celebrity, no track record of any kind. Toss in the first African-American president spin and your eyes had to tear up at the inauguration. Corruption knows no color boundary. I feel sorry for those African-Americans and other minorities who really thought we had made progress only to discover another globalist fascist had been elected to office. Why a minority president now? You know there's got to be one big political reason. So this guy is prez while we are fighting for our freedom? Is anyone paying attention to the fine print?
