Three Pueblo County schools that were locked-down after a car belonging to a fugitive sex offender was found near the buildings are back to normal. Rye Elementary School, Craver Middle School, and Rye High School are no longer on lockdown.
11 News was told deputies with the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office found the car belonging to 42-year-old Robert Thompson near the school buildings. Thompson, who was convicted on several counts of child sexual assault, failed to show up for court Friday.
Thompson, who was wanted on $1 million bond, is now in custody.
