If you want to make sure that holiday package gets to that special person by Christmas you can't put off that trip to the post office any longer. Important holiday mailing deadlines are quickly approaching.
Post Offices in town are already filling up with cards, letters and packages. In fact, the U.S. Postal Service will deliver more than 16.5 billion of them this month alone.
So here are the dates they say you need to know to make sure your holiday mail gets there on time.
- Dec. 15th for all packages
- Dec. 17th Military Mail
- Dec. 19th International Mail
- Dec. 20th All cards and letters
- Dec. 21st Priority Mail
- Dec 22nd Express Mail
Because of financial issues with the U.S. Postal Service they did not bring in any extra employees for the holiday season rush. This is why it may take your packages a little longer than normal to get where they need to go.
