Car Dealership Gets Emergency Vehicles Back To Fire Lines

Mechanics in the Phil Long Ford service department volunteered to be on call 24/7 to help get emergency vehicles back on the road to help fight the Waldo Canyon Fire.

The technicians are getting paid for repairs but do not receive double-time pay, or other perks for their extra service.

The fire has caused a loss of service business and a dip in vehicle sales, but the dealership is making up for lost revenue by working on these government vehicles.

The on-call service of these technicians will continue as long as there is a need. Right now, they are still working on emergency vehicles as there is still plenty to be done despite 100 percent containment on the Waldo Canyon Fire.
