Colorado Springs Utilities says water is back on for more than a dozen residents in the area near Murray Blvd and Palmer Park.
A water main break happened in front of 1519 N. Murray Blvd at around 2:30 am Sunday morning. Murray Blvd. continues to be closed between Palmer Park and Constitution as crews are still finishing work on the road. They hope to have the road open again around midnight Sunday.
The break caused flooding in the intersection of Palmer Park and N. Murray Blvd forcing Colorado Springs Police to close down the intersection as utility crews investigated the scene and secured the flow of water.
Springs Utilities says an 8-inch main burst.
