A flurry of calls came into Colorado Springs Police Dispatch reporting a possible shooting in front of Palmer High School located at 301 North Nevada Avenue Saturday night. Officers were unable to find any evidence of any disturbance at that location.

Within minutes officers found a scene in the intersection of Verde Drive and South Chelton Road.

It was discovered that two groups of people in two separate cars had a verbal confrontation that escalated with bottles being thrown at one of the vehicles.

Both vehicles stopped in the intersection and while people were exiting the vehicles, shots were fired and one victim was shot in the lower leg. The victim was reportedly taken to Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

I think all these idiots need to all be put in one room and let them lose on each other I am tired of paying there bills when they go to jail. and the hospital rooms they dont pay for. It comes out of the taxes payers pocket. If these people go to jail they should not have medical unless there family is paying for it. They dont need tv or weight rooms or any thing I believe they need bread and water nothing more well maybe some old fruit and veges. We didnt make them commet the crime so I believe they need to pay for all I dont think it is right that people who really diserve medicall or dental cant get it cause of the people in prison who did a crime and we baby them. If you think I am wrong than dont publish this if you think I am right than dont just publish it here.
