Posted: 10/22/2006 - A one-vehicle rollover has claimed the life of 37-year-old Stephanie Ortiz of Colorado Springs. The State Patrol said the SUV she was in passenger in rolled Friday night on County Road 625, about 23 miles northwest of Walsenburg. She was not wearing a seat belt.

Iraq-Fort Carson Soldiers Killed

Posted: 10/20/2006 - The Defense Department has identified three Fort Carson-based soldiers killed in Iraq earlier this week when a bomb exploded near their vehicle. They are Staff Sergeant Ryan Haupt, 24, of Phoenix, Sergeant Norman Taylor the Third, 21, of Blythe, California, and Private First Class Nathan Frigo, 23, of Kokomo, Indiana.
