Would-be Robbery Victim Refuses to Hand Over Cash

By  |

A man says he was about to get into his vehicle when another man with a gun demanded he hand over his cash.

The would-be victims refused, and the crook left empty-handed.

It happened at the Walgreens near Centennial Blvd. and Flying W Ranch Rd. on the northwest side of Colorado Springs.

The man says he had just used the Red Box and was standing by his vehicle when a dark colored Honda pulled up next to him.

He says the passenger jumped out and demanded his cash. When he didn't comply, the crook pulled out a gun and demanded the money again. When the would-be victim still didn't comply, the crook got back into the car and took off.

The suspect is described as a white man between 20 and 30 years-old. He is about 6'0" tall with a medium to heavy build. At the time of the robbery attempt, he was wearing a black stocking cap, a black vest with a white shirt underneath. The car had temporary tags.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
