The 26-year-old man said the suspect approached him with a knife and demanded money. The suspect apparently swung the knife and scratched the victim's arm. The victim did not need medical attention, according to police.

The victim told police his attacker ran off after he kicked him in the knee.

The incident happened on the 3800 block of Van Teylingen around 10:00 p.m. Sunday.
