The biggest concern for this afternoon/evening will be frigid temperatures. Highs will only max in the teens and 20s with breezy conditions and wind chills in the single digits. Throughout the afternoon, a few light snow showers are possible. Any accumulations should stay under 1" and is not a big concern. A terrifying ordeal is over for a Pueblo woman, who was found unharmed on the side of the road after being kidnapped.
The woman was at home with her husband and two young children Friday evening when three gunmen barged into her house. The suspects locked her 2-year-old and 5-year-old in a closet, assaulted her husband, and then took the 26-year-old hostage.
The suspects began calling the victim's husband, demanding a ransom for the return of his wife.
Police found the suspect vehicle a few hours later, but the woman and suspects were nowhere to be found.
After 12 hours of terror, the woman was located around 7 a.m. walking at mile marker 108 on I-25, just north of Pueblo. Police says she was "distraught" when officers located her.
She was taken to the hospital, where it was determined she had no physical injuries.
At this time, police have not released any information on the suspects, but ask if anyone has information about the incident, to call the Pueblo Police Department at 553-2502 or Crime Stoppers at 719-542-STOP right away.
