Woman Hospitalized After House Fire

A woman was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation after a fire in a southern Colorado Home.

The fire broke out on the first floor of a home on the 1900 block of East Uintah Wednesday afternoon. That is near Union and Palmer Park Boulevard in Colorado Springs.

It took firefighters about 20 minutes to get the fire under control. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Two people were treated, but only one was taken to the hospital. Firefighters say that woman was suffering from minor smoke inhalation.
