The Pikes Peak Region continues to see both light rain and snow, even a mix in some places so far in the early afternoon hours. Eventually this afternoon, the rain will change all into snow for the Pikes Peak region, while areas to the south and east start picking up on rain. By the overnight hours, all will be in the snow category. This looks to end by the early morning hours on Sunday. A woman is hospitalized after hitting a school bus in Pueblo. The crash happened Tuesday morning just before 8 a.m.
Police say the 42 year-old driver ran a stop sign at the intersection of Adee and 13th street and hit the bus. The students onboard ranged in age from 8 to 11 years old. They were heading to Irving Elementary school.
Police tell 11 News, the driver suffered broken bones in the crash and she will be ticketed for running a stop sign. None of the kids were hurt.
District 60 says all of the parents of the children were notified of the wreck.
