Light to moderate snow showers continue this Wednesday morning with cold temperatures to start the day. Roads are *very* icy and snow packed throughout southeast Colorado... so please allow extra time for the morning drive. Throughout the midday and afternoon, we'll keep the chance of some light, fine snow showers, but expecting minor accumulations through the day. Snow looks to finally push out this evening/overnight and our warm up begins. Head over to the "Weather' tab for a full look at the forecast.
The woman accused of providing the gun used to kill Colorado's prisons chief will be held behind bars as she awaits trial in federal court.
U.S. Magistrate Boyd Boland denied bond for 22-year-old Stevie Marie Vigil Monday, calling her a danger to the community and a flight risk.
Vigil has been charged with giving a gun to a felon, Evan Ebel, the only suspect named in the March slaying of state corrections chief Tom Clements.
She had been charged in state court but prosecutors dropped the case earlier this month, just before she was to go on trial, in cooperation with federal prosecutors. The federal charge carries a tougher penalty of up to 10 years in prison.
Vigil, a nursing student, was released on bond in the state case.
