Cool and blustery conditions will persist this afternoon, with highs temps restricted to the 30s and low 40s. However, the wind will make it feel even colder. Snow showers will favor the higher terrain west of I-25, Palmer Divide, and Raton Mesa. Locations near the Wet and Sangre de Cristo Mountains stand the best chance of having some light accumulations (few inches at most).

As a light easterly wind develops this evening, a pocket of light snow or flurries might develop somewhere between Canon City and the south side of Colorado Springs. IF this pans out, a fluffy inch or so might accumulate in these areas. So if you have travel planned along HWY 115 this evening, please be aware of this possibility.

Clearing skies after midnight will lead to a cold night with overnight lows in the single digits and lower teens.
