Occupants in a vehicle had to be rescued early Tuesday morning after a highway suddenly flooded.
State Patrol says they got word about the flooding on Highway 96 east of Pueblo around 5:20 a.m. Shortly after that, the vehicle got stranded in the water on the highway.
State Patrol didn't have many details about the rescue, but said the all occupants were taken out of the vehicle and moved to safety by 5:45 a.m.
The flooding occurred near Nepesta in eastern Pueblo County. Highway 96 is currently closed in both directions at Highway 613.
