The scene Thursday when the water main initially broke, flooding part of the street.
Dozens of customers in a southwest side neighborhood have water again. They lost it twice to water main breaks Thursday and Friday.
The break on San Gabriel Place occurred overnight while crews were repairing an earlier water main break. The first break happened Thursday afternoon, and caused 83 customers to be without water until about 6 a.m. Friday. Water was temporarily restored so residents could go about the morning activities. It was then turned off for 55 of the original 83 customers.
Repairs lasted through about 9 p.m. Friday.
Springs Utilities says the original break was due to equipment failure.
