NASA has released spectacular video of a mid-sized solar flare.

The eruption, which NASA described as "graceful" on their YouTube channel, took place April 2. It reached it's peak about 9:00 a.m. Mountain time.

NASA says solar flares are powerful bursts of radiation. That radiation isn't a danger to people, but can sometimes disrupt GPS and communications signals, according to NASA.
