The man accused of burglarizing at least one home in the Waldo Canyon burn area returns to court Thursday.

Arrest papers claim Cameron Moore stole DVDs and Broncos memorabilia, among other things, and tried to trade the stolen items for drugs and money.

Kenneth Patterson, whose home Moore allegedly broke into, told 11 News the burglar even went through his fridge and helped himself to a bottle of water.

Police say 42 homes and 43 vehicles were burglarized during the fire evacuations. District Attorney Dan May is on record stating that he'll pursue the harshest penalties for those who burglarized fire evacuees.
