A woman has been charged in a fatal collision between a motorcycle and car, which killed the motorcyclist and injured two others.
Rebecca Bedoya, 27, was charged with careless driving resulting in death and vehicles turning left.
Police say Bedoya turned left from eastbound Lake onto Cheyenne Road when she crossed paths with the oncoming motorcycle, which was headed westbound on Lake. The force of the collision threw the motorcyclist from the bike and injured two people in the Chevy Bedoya was driving. A CSPD spokeswoman says one of the Chevy passengers was trapped after the crash and had to be extricated.
The motorcyclist, identified as Kevin Michael Marinec, died at the scene. Friends held a memorial ride for Marinec Sunday.
Bedoya will be in court November 7.
