Volunteers are needed to help with some urgent flood mitigation projects in southern Colorado.
The Coalition for the Upper South Platte is asking for volunteers to help with projects to control erosion and reseed drainage in areas at high risk for flash flooding.
The projects are in Cascade and will require a full day's work from volunteers.
The CUSP says it wants to make sure these projects are completed before the summer monsoon season.
Volunteers can register by going to at http://www.uppersouthplatte.org/Volunteer/
There are three dates when volunteers will be needed:
- Tuesday, June 10, 2014, from 8:30am to 2:30pm
- Thursday, June 12, 2014, from 8:30am to 2:30pm
- Tuesday, June 24, 2014, from 8:30am to 2:30pm
