Two people survived a frightening crash on a Pueblo bridge Thanksgiving night.

When first responders got to the scene, the vehicle was dangling precariously off the 4th Street bridge over Fountain Creek. The vehicle was empty; both occupants were ejected after it went over the bridge. The drop from the vehicle to the ground is about 25 feet.

Police say the accident happened at 7:40 p.m. after the driver crashed into the guardrail, causing the vehicle to go over the bridge. The victims' names and ages have not been released, but authorities do say they were a man and woman. Police tell 11 News the accident might have followed a domestic dispute.

Both occupants are in serious condition.

CDOT responded to the scene Thursday night to repair the broken section on the bridge. Police say the bridge is back open Friday.
