Areas of light snow will continue on and off across PARTS of Southern Colorado this afternoon and evening, gradually winding down this evening. Additional amounts should be light, but will cause some slick spots where the snow occurs The biggest concern will be the very cold conditions we see tonight into Thursday morning. Temperatures will drop to the single digits to below zero. Head over to the "Weather' tab for a full look at the forecast.
El Paso County Public Services reports that Priority 1 and 2 roads are 100 percent sanded and passable.
The sunshine is helping greatly and most roads will probably be bare by the end of the day, except in the shaded areas in the northern part of the county.
60 percent of Priority 3 roads have been sanded and crews will continue to work through them the rest of the day.
Crews worked with loader-mounted blowers this morning on gravel roads out east on areas re-drifted from last night's storm as well as cutting back drifts from the previous storm.
