USPS Backs Down On Decision To Cut Saturday Delivery

The Post Office is backing down on plans to cut Saturday mail delivery.

You may remember that the Postal Service announced the planned cuts in February. But now Congress isn't allowing the change.

In a statement released today, the Postal Service says that Congress passed a spending bill that continues a prohibition against reducing delivery days.

The Postal Service says it has no choice but to delay the cut in Saturday delivery.
