A 2-year-old escaped with minor injuries after falling from an open third story window Tuesday afternoon.
Police say the little boy tumbled out an open window and fell onto gravel. The toddler's mom was home, but couldn't get to him before he fell, according to police.
When first responders got on scene, they reported that the child was conscious. The boy was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.
The incident happened at the Hill Park Apartments on the 300 block of N. Murray Blvd. in Colorado Springs.
The El Paso County Department of Human Services and Special Victims/Crimes Against Children Unit were notified.
