Colorado Springs Police are investigating two robberies at two different hotels that occurred within a half hour of each other late Saturday Night.
The first robbery took place around 10 p.m. Saturday night at the Days Inn at 2409 E. Pikes Peak Avenue. Witnesses tell police a black man in his late 30s with a slim build, wearing a red and black jacket with a red or black stocking cap and sunglasses walked into the hotel and held up the clerk at gunpoint.
Around 10:30 p.m. police received another robbery call, this time at the Hampton Inn at 2077 Aerotech Drive.
This time the suspect is described as a black man in his 40s, wearing a gray ski hat and sunglasses pulled a gun on the clerk and demanded money.
This suspect left in a white SUV. Police are not able to say at this time if the suspect is the same in the two robberies, or if the robberies are related.
