A FLASH FLOOD WATCH will go into effect on Tuesday afternoon for most of Southern Colorado. Daytime heating and moisture will combine with a disturbance moving through Colorado to develop numerous thunderstorms. Any one of them will be more than capable of producing very heavy rain. Burn scars and areas that have seen recent heavy rain will be under the greatest risk for flash flooding. The 11 Breaking Weather Team will be tracking this threat all day for you.
The two suspects accused of holding up a couple at a Springs gas station will face a judge for the first time Friday.
Hiram Church and Deja Moss are accused of holding up a couple who had stopped for gas at a Circle K near South Circle and I-25 early Sunday morning.
The couple says Moss asked to borrow a cell phone, then she and Church tried to drive off with it. A fight broke out, during which police say Church pulled out a gun. The gun turned out to be a pellet gun.
Church and Moss sped off, but police spotted them near the intersection of Circle and Fountain. Both were arrested on aggravated robbery charges.
We'll let you know what happens in court.
