A truck smashed into a building Wednesday evening, narrowly missing an employee inside.
It happened on Colorado and 7th street at a business called "The Grow Store."
Investigators say the pickup was going westbound on Colorado when it swerved to avoid hitting another car. The driver reportedly lost control and went off the road, taking down a light pole before he crashed into the building.
The impact dislodged a wall, which fell and hit an employee. The employee only suffered minor injuries.
The driver has been identified as Jared Carpenter, 32. Police do not suspect drugs or alcohol as factors in the crash, but are investigating whether speed contributed. Carpenter was served and released for careless driving resulting in injury.
This is the second time that same building has been hit this year.
On January 12th, a police cruiser smashed into the business.
At that time, employees said they were told the officer fell asleep at the wheel and then crashed into the side of the building.
