A truck crashed into a home on the 300 block of E Hahns Peak Avenue in Pueblo West around 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday. When deputies arrived, they saw a Ford Pickup truck laying on the driver's side inside a spare bedroom in the home.

The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office says that the male driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He's identified as 28-year-old Donald Darrah. The passenger in the car, 27-year-old Tana Romine, was ejected from the vehicle at the time of the crash. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

11 News spoke to the homeowners who were asleep at the time of the crash. They tell us they were woken up by a loud sound. They stepped outside their bedroom to see that a truck had smashed through their spare bedroom. They immediately called 911 while neighbors, who also woke up to the crash, ran outside to help the people in the truck.

Pueblo County Sheriff's Office says alcohol and speed may be factors in the crash.
