Rain and snow will wind down for Southern Colorado late this afternoon and early evening. The main focus for heavier rain and snow will shift farther north leaving Southern Colorado much drier tonight than this morning. Heart attack patients are less likely to have life-saving treatment in states that require more transparency.
That is according to a study published in the journal of the American Medical Association. The study looked at 100,000 Medicare patients in 10 states.
It found when hospitals were required to report the outcomes of procedures to open clogged arteries, fewer patients have the treatment. Even with the difference in care, the study shows there was little difference in patient’s survival rates.
