Three Suspects Sought In Armed Burglary

Last night the Colorado Springs Police Department reports a robbery at an area apartment complex on the 3000-block of East Fountain Boulevard.

According to reports, June 10 around 8:30, a man heard a knock at his apartment door. He recognized a woman he had just recently met outside. Once he opened the door, however, there were two men - one armed with a pump action shotgun. Those men entered the man's apartment, held him at gunpoint and assaulted him while they took several items from his home.

Police are currently looking for three suspects in the robbery.

The woman is described as a light-skinned black woman, approx. 5'11" to 6' tall, 200 lbs. with a thick build and black hair. The second suspect is a black male in his early 30's, approx. 6'3"-6'4", 230 lbs. with a chubby build - wearing a gray shirt and black pants. He was the one carrying a single barrel pump action shotgun with a wooden stock. The third suspect is a black male in his early 20's, approx. 5'9", wearing a black hoodie with a white t-shirt underneath and black shoes.

The trio fled the scene in a late 90's model black four-door sedan with unknown license plates.

Police are continuing their investigation.
