Memorial Friday For Colorado Kids Killed In Crash

By  |

A grieving family honored the lives of three young children taken too soon.

Funeral services were held Friday for Harly, David and Tyler Pappan, who were killed in a car crash last weekend.

The father of the three boys told 11 News they were amazing kids. David Pappan told 11 News the day after the crash that 7-year-old Harly loved riding four wheelers, and 5-year-old David, also known as Little David, meant the world to him. He says 4-year-old Tyler was a happy-go-lucky boy and always happy to work alongside his older brothers.

The three boys, their mom Lori Stephens, 27, and stepdad John Stephens, 30, were killed in a two-vehicle accident in southwest Missouri on March 23.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident happened early Sunday morning when the vehicle carrying the five victims crossed the center line of a Lawrence County road and collided head-on with a pickup.

The driver of the pickup suffered serious injuries.

The family says the boys were all very loved and will be terribly missed.

The funeral began at 11 a.m. at the River of Life Church in Ordway.

If you wish to help the family, a memorial fund has been set up for the boys. Called the Pappan Boys Memorial Fund, those wishing to contribute can go to the First Bank on 817 Village Center Drive in Colorado Springs, or contribute by mail to the bank's address.
