Three Arrests Made In Llama Killing Case

Three of four people allegedly responsible for the death of a llama in Trinidad have been arrested.

Cody Kissman, 18, and a 17-year-old man were arrested Monday. A second 17-year-old man reportedly turned himself in to police Tuesday morning.

The llama was seen last week wandering the grounds of Trinidad State Junior College. Police officers tried to catch it, but ended up following it to the edge of town instead. The llama then ran into the foothills.

Two days later, police said the llama was dead. Investigators say they believe Kissman slit the llama's throat.

All three suspects have bonded out of jail.

Investigators say charges are pending against a fourth person.
