Roads are icy in spots that saw accumulating snow yesterday. Allow yourself plenty of extra time this morning and dress warmly, as wind chills are in the single digits and teens for many. A second disturbance will bring another round of snow showers to the Front Range this afternoon and early evening. While not as heavy as yesterday, some additional light accumulations over the higher terrain will be possible, including Teller and Northern El Paso Counties. Highs in the 30s and 40s will feel colder when factoring a blustery northwest wind. Click on the 'Weather' tab for more...
A police K-9 helped force the surrender of a suspect wanted on multiple federal warrants.
According to police, suspect Raymond Brummels, 34, was located at a townhome on the 900 block of Teal Court in Colorado Springs Saturday evening. Brummels is wanted on three federal warrants and two warrants out of Adams County.
Officers surrounded the home and tried to contact Brummels, who eventually stepped out onto a second-floor balcony. Once in sight of officers, Brummels was ordered to surrender. Brummels noticed K-9 Max, and said that he would turn himself in as long as the dog was not released.
Police agreed, and Brummels surrendered to Max and his handler, Officer Donovan.
