A couple of hours before closing, police say a woman walked into a southwest Springs bank and threatened to shoot the teller if the teller didn't give her cash.
The teller at the Harrison District 2 Federal Credit Union did not see a weapon on the suspect, but complied. The suspect then drove away from the area.
The suspect has been described as a woman in her 20s, 5-foot-4 and thin with dark shoulder-length hair. Police have not dismissed the possibility that the hair was a wig. The suspect was last seen getting into a tan Honda 4-door vehicle.
The bank is located on the 1000 block of Harrison Road, near Lake and Southgate.
