Authorities are still looking for the second driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a teen runner.

Based on witness accounts, state troopers believe the drivers were street racing when the accident occurred.

The victim has been identified as 15-year-old Gerald "Gerry" Julien. He died Sunday morning, 12 hours after he was hit.

Colorado State Patrol said it was tough identifying the teen because runners do not usually carry full identification with them.

The accident happened just before before 10 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of South Kipling Parkway and West Asbury Avenue in Lakewood. Both vehicles left the area before troopers arrived.

A relative of one of the drivers later tipped off authorities about the driver's whereabouts. Troopers believe this was the driver behind the wheel of the vehicle that struck the teen. The driver has been identified, but State Patrol has not released any further information.

The second driver has not been identified. Authorities say he or she was driving a black sedan.

The teen victim was reportedly visiting his dad for the summer.
