A former Pueblo teacher accused of "sexting" students appeared in court Friday and where judge set a date for her trial.
Susan Christie, formerly of Goal Academy in Pueblo, was arrested late last year for sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust after allegations emerged that Christie was involved in a sexual relationship with one student and "sexting" others.
According to her arrest affidavit, Christie sent hundreds of "racy and sexually explicit" text messages to one male student, and would use her school-issued computer to have sexual conversations with students via Skype.
Goal Academy is an online school for high school students who struggle in a formal school setting.
Her trial is now scheduled to begin on February 5 at 8:30 a.m.
