A judge has ruled a man accused of sexually assaulting children can have a public defender, even though he doesn't qualify for one.
Glen Godec was in court Wednesday. He was supposed to show up today with an attorney, but he still hasn't hired a lawyer.
He told the judge he had applied for assistance but was denied.
Godec is charged with inappropriately touching two young girls. The judge says that because of the seriousness of the crime, Godec would be assigned a free lawyer so the case could move forward.
