Investigators have released the name of a man accused of sexual assault on the Pikes Peak Community College Centennial Campus.
Ilon Crittenden, 19, was taken into custody April 10, the same day the alleged assault took place.
Students and faculty received an alert that night regarding the incident, which happened at 5:35 p.m.
The alert reads in full:
"The Clergy Act requires PPCC to notify our campus community that today, April 10, 2014, at approximately 5 p.m., a sexual assault was reported at the Centennial Campus and the suspect is currently in custody.
"We are dedicated to the safety of our students and if anyone feels unsafe, the PPCC Police Department is available to provide escorts to vehicles and can be contacted at 719-502-2900." Note: The alert states the attack happened at 5 p.m., but the school tells us the time was actually 5:35 p.m.
The Centennial Campus is located on South Academy at the south end of Colorado Springs.
