The teen suspect in the abduction and murder of a 10-year-old girl pleaded not guilty Friday afternoon.
Authorities say Austin Sigg, 18, confessed both to kidnapping Jessica Ridgeway as she walked to school in Westminster last fall, and to killing her.
Sigg was expected to enter a plea last month, but it was delayed after his lawyers requested more time to review evidence and evaluate Sigg's mental state.
If convicted, Sigg won't face the death penalty due to his age at the time of Ridgeway's murder, but he could be sentenced to life in prison.
